The LEED^TM (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program is the U.S. Green Building Council’s system for rating how “green” a building is; this is based on the sustainable practices, materials, and technologies used in its construction and how efficiently it uses energy.

AEC supports the LEED^TM program because it incorporates design principles that are important to any project. The LEED^TM design process demands a high level of coordination among all disciplines from the very beginning of a project to ensure the best design and most effective construction of a building.
